Where to Buy

Very Nice 3/24/2010

Pros: - have 6 gigs running at 1700 mhz with a core i7 920 (bumped to 3.6 ghz) and 80 gig SSD on a Gigabyte MB in an Antec 900 case, stable as can be. Oh yeah, also a Raedon 5850 providing me with pretty pictures. I'm not bragging, I'm just excited.
- nice rebate
- very pretty with the shiny gold exterior

Cons: - I hate waiting for rebates, just lower the price at checkout!
- I know they use rebates because everyone PLANS on turning them in, but only about half do, thereby increasing their profits. It's still annoying though.

Other Thoughts: My Gigabyte motherboard only runs them at 1066 speeds until you tweak it in the BIOS, so I put them at 1700 rather than 1600 just to see what they would do. They are running like a champ, no issues at all.

Works Great with Core i7-930! 3/22/2010

Pros: Installed in an Asus P6X58D Premium Motherboard. Clocked to DDR3 1600 in the BIOS and the memory adjusted appropriately. I adjusted the timing from 9-9-9-24 to 8-8-8-24 and there have been no adverse affects. Running stock speeds with my setup and there are zero issues. These sticks are running perfectly!

Cons: Zero. Just know that out of the box you'll need to adjust your motherboard to match the speed these are capable of. They will run fine underclocked.

Other Thoughts: My Build:

Asus P6X58D Premium Motherboard
Intel Core i7-930
This Memory
XFX Radeon 5870 XXX Edition
Corsair 750W PSU

Good Memory, Great value. 3/20/2010

Pros: Low Price, good value with rebate. After much tweaking, it's running at full 1600 with no errors during 72 hours of memtest86+.

Cons: Have heard many complain about quality but no real problems for me. Ran memtest86+ for 24 hours and got 2 errors on first pass, but they didn't repeat. Reset and ran memtest86+ again from 72 hours with no errors. Time will tell. Initially came up at 1066 on my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R mobo and it took me forever to tweak and get to 1600. Take time to read OCZ support forums where I learned a lot more about memory from others. My next build will probably go faster as a result. I can't see taking any eggs off for the fact that I had to basically learn on the job while building my rig.

Other Thoughts: There's better memory out there for the money (without the rebate). Waiting on my rebate which is what made OCZ a great deal.
