Very good, March 22, 2010

Ram works fine with i3-540, even it says for i5.
I easily overclocked it to 1820MHZ(maybe higher, but it is enough to me) and finish the torture test, however, the voltage had to be set to 1.66v (no rated 1.65v option on my MB), otherwise, it will cause BSOD.Another thing, this ram is not low voltage one like the recommended RAM voltage for i3-540: around 1.5v, it actually is not for i3 and i5 etc. Well, nobody cares Intel's recommendation though. Also the voltage for i3 needs to be increased too, so that the difference between I3 and ram is less than 0.4v, otherwise it may damage the processor.

Works great on AMD DDR3 systems as well!, March 19, 2010

I'm using this on an AMD system with no issues, just popped them in and set to "optimal" in the bios. I'm not gaming or anything, so I'm no looking to push them to the limit on timing/latency. Running at 1600 with slightly different timings than stated though.
Memory seems stable, ran memtest with no problems. Stays fairly cool even when running lots of programs and installing new ones. Quality brand for a great price...seems like a no-brainer to me.
Setup:
- Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H Micro ATX Motherboard
- This memory
- AMD Athlon II x2 240
- Antec Sonata III case w/500w earthwatts power supply
- WD 1tb caviar black and 250gb wd ide drive
Great RAM choice for Core i5/i7, March 7, 2010
By Jason R.
I purchased 4GB of this RAM for my Core i5-750 build using a Gigabyte P55M-UD2 motherboard. RAM worked as advertised, no issues. Scored a 7.6 on the "windows experience index for Memory", running Windows 7 x64.
